Unreasonable Behaviour
Unreasonable behaviour is one of the facts that show a marriage has broken down. It is set out in Section 54(1)(b) of Act 164.
You must show that your spouse has behaved so badly that you cannot reasonably be expected to live with them.
Why it matters: this ground lets you file without waiting two years, if your spouse’s conduct has made living together unbearable.
