Privacy Policy

What personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Overview

This policy explains what personal data Divorce Guide collects, why, how it is used, and your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

Data we collect

Website analytics

We use analytics tools to see how visitors use this site. This covers pages visited, time spent, where you came from, device type and rough location (country or region). The data is grouped and does not identify you.

WhatsApp messages

When you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and your messages. We use them only to reply to your enquiry and give you relevant legal information.

Information you share

If you choose to share details about your case (names, dates, circumstances), we treat them as confidential and use them only to help with your enquiry.

How we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiries and give relevant information
  • To improve the content and usability of this site
  • To understand how visitors use the site, through grouped analytics

Sharing your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We may share it only:

  • With your clear consent, for example with a family lawyer if you ask us to put you in touch
  • When the law, a court order or a regulator requires it
  • With service providers who help run this site (such as hosting and analytics), who must keep it confidential

How long we keep data

We keep WhatsApp chats for 12 months after your last message and then delete them. You can ask us to delete your chat sooner at any time.

Keeping data safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, change or disclosure. WhatsApp messages are protected by WhatsApp's own end-to-end encryption.

Your rights

Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct data that is wrong
  • Withdraw your consent to processing (where we relied on your consent)

To use any of these rights, contact us on WhatsApp.

Cookies

This site may use cookies for analytics and to remember your language. You can control cookies in your browser. Turning them off will not stop you reading the site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a new date, so please check back now and then.
