Remarriage
Remarriage means marrying again after your divorce is final.
In Malaysia, you can remarry once the court grants the decree absolute, which is the final divorce order.
You will need to update your marital status at JPN and get a new marriage certificate for the new marriage.
Why it matters: marrying before the decree absolute would not be valid. Remarriage also ends any maintenance your former spouse pays you, under Section 82 of Act 164.
